Letter Patent for Duke of Forgottonia

Norton the Second, by the Grace of God, Emperor of the American Union and of Our Realms and Territories, and all other of Our Subjects whatsoever to whom these Presents shall come, Greetings!

Please know that We of Our special grace do hereby advance, create, and prefer Our right, trusty, and entirely beloved adopted self Emperor Norton II to the state, degree, style, dignity, title, and honor of Duke of Forgottonia, which shall cover Illinois Counties of: Adams, Brown, Calhoun, Cass, Fulton, Greene, Hancock, Henderson, Knox, McDonough, Mercer, Morgan, Pike, Shuyler, Scott, and Warren.

And for Us, Our heirs, and successors do appoint, give, and grant unto him the said name state, degree, style, dignity, and honor of Duke of Forgottonia and by these Presents to dignify, invest, and ennoble him by girding him with a sword and putting a cap of honor and a coronet of gold on his head, and by giving into his hands a rod of gold to have and to hold the said name, state, degree, style, dignity, title, and honor of Duke of Forgottonia unto him and the first born heirs of her body lawfully begotten and to be begotten.

Willing and by these Present granting for Us, Our heirs, and successors that he may enjoy and use all the rights and privileges of a Duke duly and of right belonging that Dukes of the Imperial Government in Exile do at present use and enjoy.

In Witness whereof We have caused these Our Letters to be made Patent.  Witness Ourself at the Twenty-fifth day of March in the Tenth year of Our Reign.

 

 

Letter Patent for Duchess of the Emerald Mountains

Norton the Second, by the Grace of God, Emperor of the American Union and of Our Realms and Territories, and all other of Our Subjects whatsoever to whom these Presents shall come, Greetings!

Please know that We of Our special grace do hereby advance, create, and prefer Our right, trusty, and entirely beloved adopted sister Stephanie Weiss to the state, degree, style, dignity, title, and honor of Duchess of the Emerald Mountains, which shall cover the land of the Northern Appalachian Mountains.

And for Us, Our heirs, and successors do appoint, give, and grant unto her the said name state, degree, style, dignity, and honor of Duchess of the Emerald Mountains and by these Presents to dignify, invest, and ennoble her by girding her with a sword and putting a cap of honor and a coronet of gold on her head, and by giving into her hands a rod of gold to have and to hold the said name, state, degree, style, dignity, title, and honor of Duke of the Emerald Mountains unto her and the heirs of her body lawfully begotten and to be begotten.

Willing and by these Present granting for Us, Our heirs, and successors that she may enjoy and use all the rights and privileges of a Duchess duly and of right belonging that Dukes of the Imperial Government in Exile do at present use and enjoy.

In Witness whereof We have caused these Our Letters to be made Patent.  Witness Ourself at the Thirteenth day of March in the Seventh year of Our Reign.

 

 

Letter Patent for the Duke of Louisiana – This Title is Now Retired

Norton the Second, by the Grace of God, Emperor of the American Union and of Our Realms and Territories, and all other of Our Subjects whatsoever to whom these Presents shall come, Greetings!

Please know that We of Our special grace do hereby advance, create, and prefer Our right, trusty, and entirely beloved adopted Prince Consort Elvin Holloway to the state, degree, style, dignity, title, and honor of Duke of Louisiana, which shall cover the land of the State of Louisiana.

And for Us, Our heirs, and successors do appoint, give, and grant unto himthe said name state, degree, style, dignity, and honor of Duchess of the Emerald Mountains and by these Presents to dignify, invest, and ennoble her by girding him with a sword and putting a cap of honor and a coronet of gold on his head, and by giving into his hands a rod of gold to have and to hold the said name, state, degree, style, dignity, title, and honor of Duke of the Louisiana unto him.

Willing and by these Present granting for Us, Our heirs, and successors that he may enjoy and use all the rights and privileges of a Dukeduly and of right belonging that Dukes of the Imperial Government in Exile do at present use and enjoy.

In Witness whereof We have caused these Our Letters to be made Patent.  Witness Ourself at the Twenty-ninth day of October in the First year of Our Reign.
